Who am I?
Hi, I'm Sam and thanks for taking the time to have a look at Mango Learning.
I have worked in organisational learning and development for over 20 years and in that time the value of exceptional workplace training has increased. Not only for the organisations themselves but for people too.
Following the pandemic, many people's relationship with their work has changed - often due to a re-evaluation of priorities. Therefore, re-engaging people with their work and helping managers build positive environments has never been more important for strategic performance.
My educational background is in Organisational Psychology which helps me understand the underlying barriers to performance and the causes of disengagement. However, when procuring learning services throughout my career, I have found it hard to find modern thinking, passionate, highly skilled consultants or facilitators. Therefore, I have started Mango Learning to help organisations like yours access cutting edge, learning practices and enjoy the success that exceptional learning programs deliver.

My philosophy
Encourage exploration, invite questions and socialise learning to facilitate real action.
Don't lecture!
Stress, conflict, and anxiety are health epidemics in our modern workplaces. They lead to illness, but also contribute to poor performance and corrosion of workplace cultures. We believe we have an antidote.

Generally, workforces have underdeveloped intrapersonal and interpersonal skill sets. Through the delivery of these skills employees can become equipped to deal with the rigours of our modern workplaces. But, I don't believe it's just about passing this knowledge on. My experience tells me that people do not grow and change by being told to. People learn when they choose to. When true learning environments are created; delegates choose to change. This means ideas should be shared, problems solved collectively and theories are open to challenge - not prescribed.
